Did you know that air fresheners like Febreze can easily be made at home as a Home Made Air Cleaner for as little as fifteen cents a bottle?

Most bottles will last several months therefore, homemade air fresheners will cost no more than two dollars per year. Considering that each bottle of Fabreze costs more than two dollars, this is a huge savings. While cost may not be a major factor in deciding to switch, the fact that most commercial air fresheners are not Eco-Friendly and can often create allergens in the home is reason enough. Montreal Residential Cleaners cleaning has always been a huge advocate for ecofriendly home made products and we encourage you to try these simple yet natural remedies. They cost less, last longer and are more pet friendly than commercially bought air fresheners.

Lemon Air freshener:

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/8 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Dissolve your baking soda completely in the hot water, add lemon juice – be careful – adding the lemon juice may make it erupt so make sure you have a huge mixing bowl, pot or container. Mix gently and place mixture into a spray bottle and get spraying!

Febreze style Air freshener:

  • 2 cups water (warm)
  • 1/4 cup fabric softener
  • 1 TBS baking soda

Dissolve baking soda in warm water, add fabric softener – same rules apply as above.

I hope you have enjoyed our quick tips and we hope this helps make your home smell as fresh as the day you bought it. For all the cleaning in between hire Montreal Residential Cleaners.
